BANGALORE DAY TOUR -09 HOURS
09.30 AM :VidhanaSoudha and High Court building
Morning pick up from your hotel & proceed for the sightseeing tour of city. Start the tour with a drive past through the beautiful structures of VidhanaSoudha (Secretariat Buildings) and High Court.
10.30 AM :Cubbon Park
The most alluring part of Bangalore city, Cubbon Park is situated in the heart of the city. This beautiful park was set up in 1864 and covers over 300 acres of luxuriant lawns, flowerbeds, trees and grassy field. The main attraction inside the park is the large diamond shaped aquarium which is laid out at the entrance of the park. Take a short walk inside the park to witness its beauty.
11.30 AM :LalBagh Botanical Garden
LalBagh means the Red Garden. Founded by Hyder Ali, the Emperor of Mysore, LalBagh housing India’s largest collection of tropical plants has an aquarium and a lake. LalBagh Botanical Gardens is an ultimate sightseeing spot of Bangalore. It dates back to the 18th century. Tipu Sultan, the son of Hyder Ali later completed the work at the garden.
01.00 PM : Lunch break at Bangalore
Lunch will be in a city restaurant. Enjoy delicious Indian food served with great hospitality.
02.00 PM : The Nandi (Bull) Temple:
After lunch proced to visit the Bull temple of Bangalore which is dedicated to the Vahana (vehicle) of Lord Shiva. Internationally known as the largest Nandi murthi in the world, The Nandi (Bull) Temple is simply an alluring sight to explore in Bangalore. Erected in 1537, it houses a huge statue, depicting the sacred bull. Neo-Dravidian-style building, once the seat of the state administration of Karnataka has worth to behold. Additionally, impressive VidhanaSoudha is an imposing sight of this temple. The legend goes that a bull that used to consume and destroy the groundnuts and peanuts cultivated in this region. The temple was built to calm down the bull and it is said that after the temple was built, the bull stopped damaging the crop. The farmers of the area celebrated this and organised a Groundnut Fair near this temple. The locals still celebrate this fair and people of Bangalore attend this fair in a large number.
03.00 PM :Tipu Sultan Fort
Later we visit the Tipu Sultan Fort, a must see attraction in Bangalore. It was originally founded by KempeGowda, the instigator of Bangalore. Later, the construction was led to Tipu Sultan, the Emperor of Mysore. Another major attraction of the fort is the well-preserved Ganapati temple situated inside it. Within the fort lies Tipu Sultan palace, which dates back to year 1790. Built entirely of teakwood, the palace was constructed as the summer residence of Tipu Sultan. The two-storied palace stands adorned with pillars, arches and balconies.
04.00 PM : Jain Temple
Not a very famous but a very beautifull attraction of Bangalore is the Jain Temple where you will be taken by your guide. Visit the beautiful temple and spend some time here.
05.00 PM : Flower & Vegetable market
In the evening visit the famous and most attractive ‘Flowers and Vegetable Market’ of Bangalore. People from around the worl who visit Bangalore love to visit here and walk in the market. During the walk you will come across some interesting sites and facts about the lifestyle of the locals residing in Bangalore.
06.30 PM : Back to hotel
After finishing the day tour of Bangalore we drive back to the hotel where the guide and driver say you bye with a smile.
